Has anyone used an AI program, like CoPilot to refine a trip

I've been trying to refine a long trip, so that I can better predict where I'll be stopping for the night. We're having a family gathering and my techie son & son-in-law got into a discussion of how Copilot was helping them do things in their respective jobs and it gave me an idea.
Ideally, I want to be able to create a trip using Basecamp and my waypoints and ask Copilot, where I'm likely to end up, if I stop for a rest, for 15 minutes or so, every 2 hours.
Any ideas?

I've used chatgpt for a recent long roadtrip

Some extraneous stuff in my post but lots about what chatgpt gave me.
Since the trip is now complete, I can report that the route it recommended worked out really well for me.
Good luck with your trip!

I would use chaygbt or
I would use chaygbt or Gemini for route planning. I think Gemini could be lot better because it is kind of intigrated with Google maps etc.

I'm a big fan of this approach. I tried CoPilot and asked for a trip from my home in Kitchener, ON to Nova Scotia. I wanted max 8 hours per day, rest stops about every 2 hours for 20 minutes, no unpaved roads & minimal toll roads.
It generated a route very close to my thinking, ending exactly where I thought I'd be the first day. Actually set rest stops at the Service Centers that I had figured. Gave me suggestions for hotels.
Also offered to generate a GPX file. Even Streets & Trips wasn't anywhere near that detailed.

Value Added by AI?
Garmin and google Maps does a pretty good job of generating routes, estimating travel time using traffic data and showing points of interest along the way. With the amount of hallucinations that AI produces, I would feel more comfortable not using AI. Does you see a benefit in using AI to produce a route?
